Bar cutting optimizer (1D cutting stock)
Enter the stock bar lengths and the parts for each profile, or import them from Excel. Each profile is optimised separately for the fewest bars and the least scrap, taking saw kerf, end trim and reusable offcuts into account. The cutting plan is exported as PDF and CSV.

Frequently asked questions
What is the 1D cutting stock problem?
Cutting required lengths from standard stock bars so that as few bars as possible are used and as little material as possible is wasted.
Can I import my cut list from Excel?
Yes. Use XLSX, XLS or CSV with columns for profile, length and quantity; a template is available in the tool.
Does it account for the saw blade?
Yes. Enter the saw kerf and the end trim; both are deducted for every cut.
