Terms of use
These terms apply to the use of BenchMaths (benchmaths.com), operated by Okan Can Kahraman, Ankara, Turkey (okancankahraman@gmail.com). By creating an account or using the calculators you accept them.
1. The service
BenchMaths provides engineering calculators and document tools for welding, fabrication, hydraulics and drives. The service is currently free of charge. We may change, extend or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service we will give account holders reasonable notice to export their data.
2. Engineering results
Results are engineering estimates for planning and documentation. They are based on the formulas and sources shown with each calculator and on the values you enter. They do not replace the applicable standards, a qualified welding procedure (WPQR), the steel or consumable maker's data, or a check and approval by a qualified, responsible person. You are responsible for verifying every result before you rely on it. A WPS produced with BenchMaths is only valid when it is backed by a qualification and approved by the responsible welding coordinator.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in details confidential and give correct information. You are responsible for activity under your account. You keep all rights to the content you save (drafts, lists, logos) and grant us only the right to store and display it to you in order to run the service.
4. Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload, scrape at scale or reverse-engineer the service, upload unlawful content, or use it to infringe the rights of others. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Intellectual property
The website, its design, texts and code belong to BenchMaths. Steel, consumable and product names such as Hardox and Strenx are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify the materials.
6. Liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranty that it is error-free or always available. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost profit or damage resulting from the use of calculation results. This does not limit liability for intent, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health, or mandatory consumer rights.
7. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site. Turkish law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. Courts at the operator's place of residence have jurisdiction where permitted.
